Abstract (EN)
In the last century, the world started to change rapidly, economies got into a transformation process which is called globalization. Especially; social, political and cultural areas of life evolved rapidly and formed appropriate environment for a new world formation. Along with the financial liberalization, most of the countries in the world implemented the applications which decrease the restrictions and the control on the international chattels and capital; thereby this trend, that aligned national economies with international economies, also effected Turkey. Above all, the effects of economy policy which was carried out after the crisis of 2001 and economical conjunctures produced an affect that raised foreign investments to Turkey directly; in that period one of the important areas in which investments were majored on was banking business, and the share of foreign banks raised significantly. In this context; dealing with the globalization fact on working, Scholars and specialists in this field has tried to find out why foreign banks entered to Turkey banking business, how they entered and what are the effects of them on Turkey?s banks. The reasons of coming to Turkey, the target group they aimed, their activity areas and the changes in banking business in the last ten years has been analyzed in the context of demographic characteristics of workers such as their sex, age, education, income level. The study of the area was an attempt to confirm the reasons of foreign banks? entry to the sector and the effects they have on it.
