The phenomenon of poverty in globalizing world

Globalization and poverty have become two of the most important concepts in our current age. Contrary to assertions of the globalists, globalism has not been providing benefits for everyone. The opportunities arised from globalization have been distributed unequally. In the process of globalization, we are confronted with the fact that while the large numbers suffer from poverty; the world resources, gradually, get to be at the service of a very small priviliged group of people.This study investigates how the changes in the economic system which comes along with the globalization process has affected the deepening and spreading of poverty. In this framework, the policies of the multinational institutions which lead to global poverty are discussed.
