Safety management applications of dry cargo shipping on the basis of company and ship

Shipping has always been recognized as one of the most international and hazardous commercail activities worldwide,thus the need of implementing international rules and standarts in order to avoid or at least minimize certain risks. Numerious shipping nations propesed goal the promotion of maritime safety could be establish through international rules and standarts. International Safety Management Code (ISM) was the one of the regulations which effects the merchant maritime sector. Through world maritime shipping statistics the shipment of dry cargo numbers exceeded fifty per cent of the total shipments ; in which the research of this study includes ?dry cargo? as:dry bulk ships&cargoes, general cargoes and ships, contanairezed cargoes and container ships,Ro-ros. According the light of the mentioned statistics the importence of the maritime safety applications in dry cargo shipping which wholly effects maritime parties could easily recognized.In this research the analyze of Safety Management Certificate which was the Ism requirement of a ship and non confirmities of the mentioned certificate found by class socity could search on ship based applications. Also non confirmities of document of compliance which was the Ism requirement of a company could analyzed on company based applications. The research intends to find the defects of the safety management system applications of the company fleet with the reference of ISM Code paragraphs.Key Words: Safe Management,Ship Accidents, Dry Cargo Shipping, Safe Management Applications
