Nevşehir from its formation to the Constitutional era 1718-1876 (Physical, administrative, demographic and socio-economic structure)

This study tries to focus on the history of Nevşehı̇r and cover the change and transformation which the city underwent from its formation to the year of 1876. Basically, the study involves a hundred and fifty-eight-year process, which includes the years between 1718 and 1876, and it presents insights which are revealed with the analysis of the documents, records and testimonials regarding this period. Basic information about these resources is presented in the introduction. There are five more parts following this section. The first part attempts to focus on the information about the physical structure of Nevşehı̇r. In the second part of the study, administrative structure of Nevşehı̇r and the process of its transformation from being a village to a city is presented with various insights. After the third part, which covers information on economical and financial features of the city, the aspects and features that represent the social and cultural texture of Nevşehı̇r are emphasized in the fourth part. In the fifth part, which is the last part of the study, several insights are brought to life about the demographic structure of the city. Finally, with the conclusion part, which involves the analysis of the thesis, this study is completed.
