Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the views of the managers who have worked or are working in a boarding education institution in Istanbul on the corporate culture, the sustainability and transformation of the corporate culture. The study was carried out with the participation of 9 administrators who worked or were working in a boarding education institution in Istanbul in the 2022-2023 academic year. Research data were collected using a semi-structured interview form. The design of the research is the case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods. Within the scope of the data obtained from the semi-structured interviews, two themes emerged as "factors that make the corporate culture sustainable according to the views of the managers" and "the factors that make the transformation of the corporate culture possible". Institutional objectives, communication, motivation, fraternity perception, graduates working in the institution, continuous development, procedures, dormitory culture and refectory culture are the codes that emerge under the theme of factors that make the corporate culture sustainable according to the views of the managers. The codes of communication, coordination and cooperation, technological innovation, transformation/change, trust, logic and common sense, dormitory culture, refectory culture and managers' attitudes emerged under the theme of factors that enable the transformation of corporate culture, which is the second theme. It was observed that both themes included the codes of "communication", "refectory culture" and "dormitory culture". This reveals the importance of communication, refectory and dormitory culture in the maintenance and transformation of the corporate culture and the realization of the vision and mission of the institution. The culture of the institutions is expected to keep up with the age. However, it is just as important that the institution stays connected to its past, that is, to its roots. Despite its long history, it is thought that the institutional culture of boarding education institutions is not fully established. The main reason for this is the factors that weaken the roots of the institution. Keywords: Culture, Corporate Culture, Sustaining Corporate Culture
