Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to research duration of transportation to the institution, motivation and some demographic characters whether predict the teachers' job satisfaction considering to the variables of teachers. In this study, relational survey method is used. the distance of the institution to the place of residence, in other words;it is identified that commuting is predictive, job satisfaction of teachers is a predicted variables. The universe of the is 3292 teachers who work who work at state schools in Burdur, affiliated to the Ministry of Education. In the total 253 teachers,130 of whom are female and 123 of whom are male teachers, who work at state schools in city centre, districts and villages of Burdur, is constitued the frame of this study. 'Personal Information Form' developed by the researcher, 'Motivation Adult Scale' (Tulunay Ateş &İhtiyaroğlu, 2019) and 'Job Satiffaction Scale' (Güler, 1999) are used to collect datas of the reasearch. The result of reliability test for this research has been shown that the cronbah's Alpha reliability coeffiient of 'Motivation Adult Scale' was .562; the cronbah's Alpha reliability coeffiient of 'Job Satisfaction Scale' was .939. Analyzing of datas was made by SPSS Packet Programming. Multiple linear regression analysis was used for analyzing datas. 9 variables which are thought that they may effect to job satisfaction of the teachers in the beginning of the research, are subjected in this study. The result was obtained that the variables, extrinsic motivation (p<.01), time of transportation (p<.01), weekly working hours (p<.01) and gender (p<.05) predict job satisfaction of the teachers significiantly. However, it was seen that marial tatus, having child status, tenure of proffession, compulsory service status and instric motivation variables do not predict the job satisfaction of the teachers.
