The Companions' interpretation of the Qur'an in Kutub-i Sitte

Our Prophet and the Companions have an important place in understanding the Qur'an correctly. It has important contributions to Islamic Civilization and Islamic Sciences as it forms the first link in the chain of narration of the Companions. The Companions witnessed the revelation of the verses, and most of the information about the Qur'an was directly transmitted to the Prophet. received from the Prophet. As such, how the Companions understood and interpreted the Qur'an and that they were the generation that experienced the revelation themselves are very important and have informational value. We have seen that many studies have been carried out on the interpretation of the Companions, as well as on the commentary of the Companions, on this path, which we started by saying, "Of course, the words of the generation that have the value of proof of action are valuable." While most of the Islamic tradition and jurisprudence are based on the Companions, of course, we felt that the data from the Companions were also important in terms of tafsir. In Kutub-ü Sitte, we have identified the mere narrations in this context. It is known by the experts of Kutub-i Sitte under other headings that there are many memorized narrations. However, in terms of being relevant to our subject, we have determined the mere narrations that have the title of Kitabu't-Tafsir in their translation and that are mentioned in these sections. In the first part of the study, the question of why people need interpretation has been examined under two headings. Afterwards, a methodical view was made on the interpretation of the Prophet and the Companions. Hz. Did the Prophet interpret the entire Qur'an? What are the methods used in tafsir? questions such as how did he interpret him as the first addressee of the revelation were answered. Afterwards, the view of the Companions to the Qur'an and the Qur'an from the language of the Companions and the interpretation of the Companions are mentioned. In the second part, the concept of hadith with the use of the Companions, the mawkuf hadith, the importance and knowledge value of mawkuf narrations in religion and hadith science are mentioned. In the third chapter, the importance of the Companions' tafsir and the verses interpreted by the Companions under the titles of Kitabu't-Tafsir main and bâb in the context of Kutub-i Sitte and memorized narrations are given.
