Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of different synchronization methods on reproductive parameters were investigated in Uludag University Faculty of Agriculture Research and Application Farm Sheep Farm. One hundred twenty Kıvırcık sheep and eight fertile rams were used in the study. One hundred twenty Kıvırcık ewes were randomly allocated into five experimental groups as four treatments and one control group. In group Ӏ (n=25) the ewes were subcutaneously implanted with Regulin containing 18 mg of melatonin with a special ear implant applicator (09.06.2017). The ewes in group II (n=20); CIDRs (containing 0,33 g progesterone) were inserted into vagina and removed after 12 days (07.07.2017). Then 500 IU PMSG was injected intramuscularly to each ewe. The ewes in group III (n=25); 20 mg flugeston acetate (Chronogest CR) progestogen sponges were administered intravaginally for 14 days with intramuscular administration of 500 IU PMSG at withdrawal time (05.07.2017). The ewes in group IV (n=25); was injected subcutaneously with prostaglandin F2α (3cc) in two doses with an interval of 11 days (07.07-17.07). The ewes in group V (n=25); no hormone treatment was applied and therefore evaluated as the control group. Rams were introduced into the herd and kept in the herd for 45 days. The results, I., II., III., IV. and in the control group birth rates; 80%, 95%, 88%, 92% and 76%; multiple birth rates; 15%, 26,3%, 13,6%, 4.3% and 5,3%; fecundity; 0,8, 1,2, 0,96, 0,96 and 0,80 fertility; 1,0, 1,3, 1,2, 1,0 and 1,0 survival rates; 0,88, 0,96, 0,96, 0,96 and 0,90 respectively. Although the application groups were proportionally high in birth rate and multiple birth rate, the difference between the different synchronization groups were not found statistically significant (p>0,05). The productivity of gestation, efficiency of gestation, weaning productivity and weaning efficacy values were found to be numerically highest in CIDR group and 453kg, 7,9kg, 2279kg and 40kg respectively in the herd. The mean birth weights, weaning weights and daily live weight gain values of the lambs were found to be 4,24, 23,61 kg and 250 g, respectively. In the terms of the application methods, it has been seen that the proportionally high CIDR method and 500 IU PMSG injection have created an efficient synchronization in the anoestrus period.
