Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this thesis is, to elaborate on the Kyoto Protocol's effects on wind and other renewable energy sources. In this study, utilizing the statistics, which published by domestic and foreign energy companies, of the carbon emissions of energy sources used by Turkey's and World's energy production and consumption values are taken as comparatively and focused on the causes of and solutions to global warming. The status and changes of renewable energy resources before and after the Kyoto Protocol were examined periodically. Renewable energy sources that emerged as a solution to global warming and the 2050 year development scenario of the wind and the share will receive from the electricity production pavement were searched to find out whether it would be an alternative to fossil-based energies, despite the development process in the current situation and future scenarios. As a result, incentives for renewable energy sources that have started and increased in this period by Kyoto Protocol. The largest share of this increase in all renewable energy sources is obtained by wind energy that revealed by the statistics.
