Evaluation of the effects of the Tulip Age (1718-1730) on the Turkish garden development process Istanbul example

Landscape is a word that means landscape and has taken its place in the literature in this way. We should consider landscape as a concept that has had a place in our lives since the existence of the world and cannot be evaluated only as a landscape. Throughout the history of humanity, even in sedentary and non-sedentary living conditions, people have determined their own private living spaces and tended to limit these areas. After the settled life environment has fully settled in the history of humanity, we see in the light of researches and studies that the landscape gains its real meaning by creating active areas of use, especially by making innovations in order to use the living spaces more conveniently. Landscape emerges as a concept that has penetrated into our lives with the increase in human needs of settled life and the increase in technological developments. In this study, we will focus on the "Tulip Age" period by evaluating the Landscape in the historical process. The Tulip Era is the period in which the Ottoman Empire was the most special with the works that it produced by feeding from almost every field in terms of Architecture and Landscape, in the light of the resources, documents and researches we have, albeit limited. In this context, in order to shed light on today's historical and cultural garden development, the information about the Tulip Era gardens, which is mentioned in both the Ottoman archives and all the literature, was examined in comparison with some Tulip Era works in Istanbul and the aesthetic and functional status of the landscape was determined. Çırağan Palace, which was built in the period known for the existence of works limited to Istanbul, Topkapı Palace III. As a result of the sample studies carried out in front of Ahmed room and Kandilli Hadi Bey Mansion, the closest work to the Tulip Era Period is the Çırağan Palace, while the most distant work from this period is Hamdi Bey's mansion. As a result, although there are not many works that have survived to the present day, there are no traces of the Tulip Era period in the works that have survived to the present day.
