Since the first ages, language and writing are among the factors which enabled the founding of civilizations, reforms and the founding of knowledge and culture society. Language is an important element of communication and it finds meaning through writing, it is shared with writing and it is kept with writing. Because of this, it is important to examine the progress of writing in civilization starting with the Sumerians. This progress continued with the old Egypt and Chinese civilizations parallel to Sumerians. Writing spread to the Mesopotamia through Sumerians. Abjad, Abugida, Alphabet, Logographic writing, Syllabarry comes to mind when we try to classify the writing systems used both in the past and today. Alphabets from the writing system are used by most of the World societies. Especially the Latin alphabet, found by the Phoenicians and took its final shape with the Greeks and Romans, is used by many societies in the World. The art of typography studies the form of writing, it enables the flow of knowledge through writing, and makes the writing more readable by adding graphical elements to it.
