A Comparative investigation Leyla and Mecnun story

'.,,<,->. < ".' -.. *' i ; '--'.? / Tn this study named "A Comparative Investigation Leylâ and Mecnûn Story'' it was / tried to estimate the relations among folk story, legend, myth and jokes. The story was"" thought among the "mythological stories" according to the Arabic sources. It was accepted that "Leylâ and Mecnûn" story which has been used in many art fields was accepted to be one of our first folk stories when its effect folk stories on other was taken into consideration. The common structure of the story was estimated by evaluating episode, poem and motive sides of the nine variants. Besides the interrelations of written and oral sources were estimated by investigating the features of mesnevi and two- word variant from the point of analyse, languae and speech. It can be said that although "Leylâ and Mecnûn" story is in written sources, it was told among thtpeople by using different motives. The story which can be seen as mesnevi, fdlk story, legend and myth was tried to put a definite place and cultural unity in Turkish World was also emphasized.
