Abstract (EN)
Traditional Turkish House has been the subject of researchers throughout history with its cultural heritage and architectural values. Various classifications have been made about the Turkish House, which has been examined from different perspectives, on subjects such as plan, facade, and construction materials. The Odunpazarı Houses in Eskişehir are spread over a large area with their buildings that feature traditional Turkish House features and have been known as the residential area of the city since the Seljuk Empire period. It was declared as a protected site in 1973, and the houses in the area were divided into 4 groups according to the construction periods within the scope of the revised zoning plan in 2011. It has been determined that there is no classification related to the plan typology of Odunpazarı houses in the literature. Lidar sensor, which is a sensor that can measure with the laser point cloud method, which emerged with the development of technology, was used in the thesis study. It is shown among the advantages of the device that it gives faster results compared to other measuring instruments, is more economical and lightweight, and is portable by hand. It is aimed to make a pioneering study in architecture with Lidar, which is used for different purposes in different disciplines, and to make a morphological analysis of Odunpazarı houses, where there is no study on plan schemes in the literature. In this context, 15 houses totaly 45 houses were selected from the first 3 periods and their plan schemes were drawn. These plan diagrams were transferred to the computer environment and numerical values obtained from the analysis of connectivity, integration and user movements were interpreted with the space syntax analysis method. It has been concluded that the garden and the sofa have become smaller over the years in the houses that have been evaluated and compared according to the construction period. Today, there are local people still living in Odunpazarı, which has become a more touristic area, and it is seen that they continue the traditional life in their houses. The necessity of preserving these structures and bringing them to the literature was also emphasized.
