Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to determine the mediating role of emotional contagion in the effect of power supplies used by cafe managers on organizational commitment. According to the literature, one of the issues related to the type of power used by the leader is organizational commitment. While the type of power used by the leader can affect the type of organizational commitment of the employee, the instant emotional states of the employees can affect the performance of the business positively or negatively, with the effect of interpersonal emotional contagion. In accordance with this purpose, a research was carried out on the employees of cafe businesses operating in the center of Isparta Province. Data were obtained by the survey method applied to 454 people working in cafe businesses in Isparta. The obtained data were transformed into findings through factor analysis and path analysis within the scope the structural equation model. As a result of the research, it has been seen that the managers use the personality power and legitimate power more in cafe businesses, but the reward power does not make any sense. In the dimension of organizational commitment, it was revealed that emotional commitment is at the forefront and continuance commitment has no effect. It has been observed that there is a whirl between emotions after instantaneous events, and people can immediately transition from positive emotion to negative emotion, from negative emotion to positive emotion. It has been determined that by using the personality power and legitimate power of the leader in café businesses, the employees can improve their emotional and normative commitment to the organization. The positive contribution of positive emotional contagion to this effect process has also been demonstrated. Key Words: Leadership, Power Supplies, Organizational Commitment, Emotional Contagion
