Nowadays, in the provision of health service, despite the use of the tools and equipment in accordance with the evolving technology, effective and efficient work is largely carried out with the joint and harmonious efforts by professionalized groups. Making up the most crowded part of the health care sector, midwives and nurses have highly active roles in each of these services. In recent years, the quality of health services, health transformation program, performance-based payment system, constantly changing and evolving legal regulations, intense human relationships, and rapid changes and developments in medicine and technology has increased the need for leaders in nursing profession and underlined the importance of developing leadership skills. Nurse leaders are thought to have very important roles in delivering effective and quality health care services, improving the health care service and catching the quality in nursing practice. It is also thought that displayed leadership behaviours are closely related to the nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment. It is ,therefore, thought that it may be useful to evaluate the job satisfaction and company loyalty and the leadership skills of nursing managers who have an important role in the provision of high quality and efficient service from the monitoring nurses and midwifes' point of view. In this thesis, firstly, leadership, organizational commitment and job satisfaction issues are examined theoretically. Afterwards, using this theoretical knowledge, at which level the nurses and midwives working at Ataturk State Hospital, which is in the centre of Antalya, understand the basic leadership behaviour of their managers was investigated. With these emerging perceptions, the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment was examined. In this study, a questionnaire consisting of four sections was used to determine the leadership behaviour of the managers of Antalya Ataturk State Hospital and to measure the employees' job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The data obtained from this survey were analysed by using SPSS. According to the findings of the research, supportive leadership behaviors and positive factor in managers, salaries and negatively correlated with job satisfaction factor, stimulating job content by a factor of leadership behaviors, negative, negative direction with promotions and career opportunities, supportive leadership and encouraging the perception of leadership negative correlations between normative commitment, supportive leadership, charismatic leadership, and commitment to continue with the perception of visionary leadership that is the result of a significant relationship between the negative direction. Normative commitment, and job content factors are also positively correlated with colleagues, affective commitment, work colleagues and managers commitment to keep the contents of the lower sub-factors positively and negatively by a factor that is a result of a significant relationship.
