The purpose of this thesis is to state the correlation between leadership and education-teaching leadership. It is also emphasized that directors of schools should be education-teaching leaders. In accomplishing the purposes of schools, the essential mission belongs to directors. Therefore it is necessary for directors to be well-qualified leaders and to perform their roles as teaching leaders accurately. This very reason is the starting point of this thesis. Throughout the research, theoretical method is followed. The research is composed of three chapters. As source, printed literatures, researches, articles, dissertations and on-line sources are used.At the end of the research, it is deducted that influential directors are, at the same time, successful teaching leaders. Moreover it is concluded that, compared with teaching leaders, classical school directors are ineffectual in the management of schools.Key Words:Leadership,Education-Teaching Leadership
