Özet (EN)
This study focuses on high school students' bottled water consumption habits and attitudes towards purchasing. In the last few years, the bottled water industry has experienced exponential growth and emerged as an important market. With this growth, discussions regarding the marketing of bottled water with plastic bottles or glasses have increased significantly in terms of human and environmental health. Water has been of great importance as a natural resource for various civilizations throughout history and has been an important factor in determining settlements for many large societies. With the advancement of technology and the increase in the way and frequency of water use, water resources have been developed for many purposes such as drinking water, irrigation water, electricity production and have played an important role in the economic development of every country. Many so-called "developed countries" have reached this level by maximizing their water resources. Technological progress is essential to making the most of water resources, but the accompanying industrialization and urbanization have brought pollution, especially water pollution, into the spotlight. The increasing importance of water pollution has forced countries to take serious measures in this regard and has led to the enactment of many laws in this area. Today, people's need for clean and safe drinking water, which is of great importance, is met with a wide variety of options. The concern that the city's water resources are not clean enough and the thought that packaged water is healthier has led to an increase in packaged water consumption. The second phase of the research includes a comprehensive review of both national and international literature on the subject. When the existing studies are evaluated, it is concluded that there is a lack of research on packaged water, especially in Turkey. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to fill this gap and provide valuable information to the existing literature. Questionnaire and attitude scale were used as data collection tools in the research. The study was conducted with 406 high school students studying at Lice Anatolian High School located in Lice district of Diyarbakır province. The findings of the study revealed that most of participant student had a positive opinion
