Abstract (EN)
Introduction and Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between high school and secondary school students' sportsmanship behaviors and responsibility feelings and behaviors according to some variables. Materials and Methods: In the 2018-2019 academic year, a total of 441students consisted of 243 secondary and 198 high school students attending public schools in the center of Iğdır.In the research, questionnaires were used with (ESSS) and (SDSS). The scores of the students from the scales were examined according to their school level and gender. In addition, the relationship between students' level of sportsmanship and responsibility feelings and behaviors was tested. The data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0 for Windows statistical package program. After applying the descriptive statistics of the demographic characteristics and scales, the distribution of the data set was examined, Independent Student T test was used for paired group comparisons and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for multiple group comparisons. Bivariate Pearson correlation test was used to determine the differences between the groups Results:In the light of data; It was observed that all sportsmanship factor scores of female secondary school students were statistically higher than male students. It was seen that female middle school students' scores of responsibility and behaving factor were significantly higher than male students.There was no statistically significant difference between female and male high school students in terms of responsibility and behaving responsibly.It was observed that female middle school students had positive behavior, negative behavior avoidance factors and total sportsmanship scores were significantly higher than female high school students. It was found that the total sportsmanship scores of male high school students, as well as being responsible and behaving responsibly, were significantly higher than secondary school students. It was seen that there were statistically significant and positive relationships between sportsmanship and responsibility scale scores of middle and high school students. Conclusion: It was concluded that secondary school female students had higher sportsmanship and responsibility feelings than male students.It was concluded that the higher the school level, the higher the level of responsibility.When the results of our study are examined, it can be said that sportsmanship and responsibility are personality traits that support each other.
