The effect of firms on the formation of the management structures of logistics centers: The case of Konya

Logistics Centers have been performed as a competitive structure in recent years when integrated transportation has come to be prominent, and also sustainability of the compound, investment and operation models of these centers are important. Within the scope of our country's "2053 Transportation and Logistics Master Plan", there are targets of "increasing the investment share of the private sector by creating new business models within the framework of public-private sector cooperation for the establishment and operation of logistics centers" and "Establishing effective business management in logistics centers". In this study, The conceptual framework of logistics and logistics centers is explained, the importance of logistics centers, examples of logistics centers in the world and Türkiye and management structures are examined. Also, Konya's economic outlook and logistics sector were evaluated. In the application part, firms using Konya Kayacık Logistics Center (KLM) were surveyed, statistical evaluations were carried out after confirmatory factor analyzes and other tests. In the last section, the opinions of the firms and the suggestions that can be used in the management structures of the centers for the effective and efficient management of the logistics centers operating / to be operated in our country, especially KLM, are explained comprehensively. A Public Private Partnership model was proposed in the management structure and a sample of the articles of association was prepared for the company that will manage KLM.
