Luṭfullah Halīmī's Muṣarriḥat al-Asmā dictionary (ا-خ) letters review and text

Muṣarriḥat al-Asmā written in Anatolia in the second half of the XVth century, is a dictionary of nouns with inline translation that gives the Persian equivalents of Arabic headwords. It was written in 872 (1467-1468) by Luṭfullah Ḥalīmī, who is mostly known for his Persian-Turkish dictionaries. Turkish equivalents are also recorded in some articles. Muṣarriḥat al-Asmā, the reason for which is briefly stated as "to be immersed in the sea of blessings", was presented to Sultan Bayezid II in 872 (1467-1468). Copied in 884 (1479), the earliest copy is recorded in the Süleymaniye Library, Hagia Sophia Section, no. 4773. 4773 no. The other three copies are in Ankara National Library Manuscripts Section. No. 748, Istanbul Süleymaniye Library Laleli Div. No. 3608/1 and Sü. Library Esad Efendi Div. No. 3275. There are also manuscript copies in Cairo and Austrian libraries. In this study, the copy of Muṣarriḥat al-Asmā recorded in Istanbul Suleymaniye Library, Hagia Sophia Div. No. 4773 of Muṣarriḥat al- Asmā, the dictionary will be introduced in terms of organization, method and content, and the articles between the letters "elif-hı" and their definitions will be given.
