The subject of this study is to identify the criticisms of Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hayri Kırbaşoğlu, who is one of the leading names in the sience of Hadith in Turkey, to the Classical Hadith Method under a few titles. It is to examine the "Alternative Hadith Methodology" proposal, which he presented as a solution to his criticisms, and thus to try to evaluate his contributions to the sience of Hadith. The study consists of an introduction and two main parts. In the introduction section has been shared information about Hayri Kırbaşoğlu's life, scientific personality and works. In the first chapter, M. Hayri Kırbaşoğlu's criticisms on the Classical Hadith Method are presented under four headings. In the second part, M. Hayri Kırbaşoğlu's "Alternative Hadith Methodology" offer was examined and the results were given. In the conclusion part, the issues we want to point out with our study are evaluated based on the data in the thesis.
