Alternative finance resources in the mining sector and evaluation of these

Mining is a sector containing technical and economical activities that is composed of the mineral deposit associated with the production factors in order to produce mine. It is a risky profession, with limited opportunities and many unknowns which requires great amount of mental and body energy and effort.This sector at the same time requires large constant capital investments. It is necessary to apply new technologies for the mining sector to maintain its competition under presently developing market conditions and to renew these technologies.However, in the mining sector, in which amortization is hard and necessitating middle and long term investments, the biggest problem is finance deficiency. Nowadays, in our country, middle and long term financial resources are very limited to meet the needs of this sector. In our country, there are governmental and commercial banks and credit mechanisms tied to the world bank. But, since the application procedure to these associations and reply back time, either positive or negative is too long, firms have forwarded to alternative finance resources to resolve financial problems in the short run. The firms have directed to the payment in the form of product and service instead of cash which we call barter, to the achievement of constant capital investments in a very short time, to financial leasing in which payment is made in long installments and to factoring that is applied in domestic and external trading operations and provides alternative finance resources to the investors in short-term product sale.Within this study, all funding types that could be used in the finance of investments and especially the applicability of alternative financial resources in the mining sector have been explained in detail.
