Abstract (EN)
Climate change, including shifting global climate patterns and increasing instances of drought, is giving rise to abiotic stress factors that have adverse effects on food security worldwide. Wheat, a pivotal grain with significant global importance in human nutrition, is at the forefront. This thesis aims to identify genotypes of durum wheat that exhibit high tolerance to drought stress by examining their physiological, morphological, and yield parameters. The research was conducted during the 2021-2022 wheat cultivation season in the Department of Field Crops at Dicle University's Faculty of Agriculture, utilizing 20 different durum wheat genotypes as materials. The data from the research were subjected to statistical analysis, revealing significant differences among the genotypes (at the p ≤ 0.01 level). Prominent genotypes among them, YM 12 and EYM 3, may contribute to the breeding of new varieties for increased tolerance to abiotic stress factors. In terms of grain yield, the highest value was achieved with the YM 12 genotype, reaching 18.84 kg/ha. Keywords: Durum Wheat, Quality, Genotype, Yield, Triticum durum
