The Comparison analysis of educational music compositions that are consisted in the music education books used in 6, 7 and 8. grade at primary schools between Macedonia and Turkey

Sadık YÖNDEMSeptember 2005, xii + 54 pagesThis research comments on the comparing analysis of educational musiccontent of the primary-school educational music books regarding to 6, 7 and 8.grade, used in the 2003/2004 school-year, between Macedonia and Turkey. trepresents the resemblances and the differences between the textual educationalmusic material which is used in the educational music books, in both countries. Thedocumentary findings, as a result of the reseaerch on the comparing analysis ofeducational music content are very important, by taking into consideration the newperspectives given, to solve the general music education problems, by using themethod of giving modern educational sense and musical-education orientedsuggestions.n the research, source search and examine techniques are used as materialgathering methods. The material, that has been gathered appropriate to the methodof the research, it has been interpreted, evaluating it by taking into considerationstatistics and describe methods and transforming it into numerical and writtenvalues.As a result of the research, it has been shown that, from varius aspects,there are resemblances and differences between the content of the educational musicbooks between Macedonia and Turkey. Differences; number of the compositions,tonal and modal composition?s number balance, the number of the polyphoniccompositions and instrumental accompaniment, the usage density of the dynamicmarks and the speed terms, the number of the anonymus compositions. Theresemblances between the books are these aspects: musical kinds, composition?ssound abundance, types of the interval and interval?s usage density in thecompositions, note values, types of measure and musical forms of the compositions.Key words : Macedonia, Turkey, Educational Music Books, EducationalMusic, School Songs
