Abstract (EN)

Covid-19 pandemic effected the global economy ineptly. It includes widespread recession marked by decreased economic activity, liquidation of business and disturbance in supply chains. Parallel to it, unemployment, industries and travel was affected badly. Volatility in financial market was experienced as well. Besides, ample data has been generated and stored to analyze the trend of global GDP growth. The dataset contains 20 countries belonging toG7, G8 and G20 economic block from 2000 to 2019. For that purpose, the usage of machine learning (ML) is widely adopted to forecast the economic condition. In this paper, combination of adaptive boosting (AdaBoost), Bayesian neural network (BNN) and linear regression (LR) is used to forecast the global GDP from 2020 to 2039. The finding from ML models contributes to understand the multifaceted challenges occurred by pandemic, enables researches, policymakers and businesses to perform data-driven decision making.
