A research on comparing the value orientations of students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education

The aim of this study is to determine whether the values of the sports science faculty students and the students studying in the faculty of fine arts education differ significantly according to their age, department, gender and monthly average income levels. Descriptive scanning model, one of the scientific research models, was used in the research. The study group of the research consists of 311 students who are actively studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences and Fine Arts Education Department of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKU) during the 2018-2019 academic year. For the purpose of the research, the "Personal Values Inventory" was used for the purpose of the research with the "Personal Information Form" prepared for the purpose of determining the demographic information by the researcher. The reliability coefficient of the individual values inventory was calculated using cronboach alpha .77. Spss 25.0 package program was used in the statistical analysis of the data. In the analysis of the data, frequency, percentage, and descriptive analysis of variance were used in descriptive statistics to determine the differences between the groups. In the research results, while there was no significant difference in terms of gender variable, it was found that there were significant differences in individual values orientations in the variables of department, age, monthly income levels.
