Abstract (EN)

The quality of vocational training is evaluated in accordance with the needs of the sector. Nowadays, it is very difficult to perceive the advances and changes in social, economic, cultural and political fields different from each other. Advances in a specific sectoral field can affect the other fields. Development of individuals and social structure can only be achieved through educational, scientific and technological systems. The division of labor and specialization that sectoral fields require bring vocational skills in the foreground. The quality in vocational training and standardization that were viewed as a resource in order to train labor force needed in the sector can be provided with high-performance labor having vocational skills. Students as the most important part of vocational training necessitate the specification of vocational skills that students will acquire at the end of the educational process. The efficiency in vocational training is based on the uppermost level of skills that students acquired in relation to cognitive, kinetic and auditory fields. In this study, ?Specification of Vocational Skills of Make-up Artists?, a modular training program based on the vocational skills of the professional staff working as make-up artists in cosmetic sector is tried to be developed via DACUM method. a. Beautifying -Corrective Make-up - Basic Make-up - Objective Make-up - Camouflage Make-up v b. Special-Purpose Make-up - Plastic Make-up - Character Make-up - Special Effect Make-up that constitute the context of the study and c. Permanent Make-up Beautifying-Corrective Make-up field forms the sample of the study. This study that was conducted in November, 2005 by a DACUM group consisting of fifteen highly qualified people in their fields who were directed by Prof. Dr. Semiha Aydın introduced vocational skills and other related factors. Research findings are as follows: 1. With regard to ?Vocational Skills? that a professional working as a makeup artist in the cosmetic field has to acquire, ?Skills Table? consisting of 35 sub-skills related to 12 basic skills was developed by the DACUM group. 2. With regard to ?Vocational Knowledge? that a professional working as a make-up artist in the cosmetic field has to acquire, 13 basic subject titles were specified by the DACUM group. 3. With regard to ?Materials and Equipment? that a professional working as a make-up artist in the cosmetic field has to use, 50 materials and equipment were specified and listed by the DACUM group. 4. With regard to ?Attitude and Professional Practices? that a professional working as a make-up artist in the cosmetic field has to acquire, 16 attitude and professional habits were specified and listed by the DACUM group. 5. With regard to ?Future-oriented Tendencies? that a professional working as a make-up artist in the cosmetic field has, 5 basic subjects were specified and listed by the DACUM group. As a result of this study, Modular Training Program for the professionals applying Beautifying -Corrective make-up were developed in line with the acquired vocational skills.
