Abstract (EN)

Rhetoric means "the branch of science that deals with the arts of speech, the ability to persuade verbally, to speak well."When considered as a science in literature, it is known as "the art of understanding a subject in all its aspects, leaving no room for error or incomplete situations, and requiring no interpretation." In the work called Mecâmiü'l-Edeb, written by Manastırlı Mehmet Rifat, the unknown aspects of rhetoric are revealed, and it is shown how the word is expressed better and more beautifully, appears as one. To date, there is no comprehensive study of the "İlm-i Bedi" part of the work called Mecâmiü'l-Edeb, and the transfer of the work to the contemporary alphabet has not been done. The aim of the work; The aim is to reveal the problems it contains and to determine its place and importance in the history of literature. The work consists of three parts. By beginning the work with "Preface," this section defines Bedi. In the other two sections, the rhetoric is discussed and the expression is substantiated with Arabic, Persian and Turkish examples. This thesis is a review and transcription of Manastırlı Mehmet Rifat's İlm-i Bedî. Study: The introduction consists of two parts and a conclusion. In the introduction, the term "rhetoric" and the historical development of rhetoric are emphasized, and information about the life and works of Manastırlı Mehmet Rıfat, the author of the work, is given. In the first chapter İlm-i Bedî was defined and examined in terms of form and content. In the second part, the transliteration text of the work is given. This is followed by the conclusion and the bibliography.
