Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the magnetic nano graphene oxide (MNGO) nanocomposite material obtained by combining with graphene and iron oxide nanoparticles was prepared as an adsorbent. Adsorption of lanthanum (La) ions from aqueous solutions was investigated by using this composite adsorbent prepared. XRD, SEM, VSM, XPS and surface area measurement methods were applied to understand the structural characteristics of MNGO adsorbent. Adsorption of La (III) ions was investigated by combining the solid MNGO adsorbent in the formed powder form and the aqueous solution of La (III) ion under various conditions. In the study, the effect of parameters such as solution pH, initial lanthanum concentration, adsorbed dose, interaction duration and temperature affecting adsorption was investigated and adsorption yield (%) and adsorption capacity (Q) were determined. In addition, the suitability of the obtained adsorption data to the Langmuir, Freundlisch and Dubinin-Raduschkevich (D-R) isotherms were investigated. In the optimum experimental conditions determined, maximum adsorption yield %92,44 of La (III) ion of MNGO composite adosorban and the adsorption capacity Q: 111,11 mg/g. Besides, the adsorption process was interpreted by calculating ΔG °, ΔS ° and ΔH ° in terms of thermodynamics. Keywords: Lanthanum, adsorption, nanoparticle, nanocomposite, rare earth elements.
