Abstract (EN)

Mor Efrem Monastery Church was built by Patriarch Cercius Şelhet in 1884. The church is constructed cut stone and consists of priest rooms and various buildings around. The Church belongs to the Syriac Catholic Community. The aim of the thesis is to prepare a project for the protection of Efrem Monastery Church, which is an important cultural heritage, and to indicate the contents of the necessary interventions. The thesis work includes a detailed description of the current state of the Mor Efrem Monastery Church, as well as surveying, restitution and restoration projects. As a result, the nature of the interventions required for the renovation and survival of the Mor Efrem Monastery Church, as well as the projects prepared, have been described. This work structure and its surroundings carry the character of a roadmap for transfer to future generations as cultural heritage.
