Abstract (EN)

Safety culture which is commonly used on several sectors is considered as a proactive accident prevention method to reduce occupational safety risk level in an organization. Employees are the most important resources in marinas and their awareness related to safety should be observed by marina managements. The aim of this research is to analyze the safety culture awareness level of marina employees located in İzmir and Aydın regions by using safety culture questionnaire. Safety culture questionnaire developed by Dursun (2011) is conducted while measuring safety culture awareness level of marina employees. While determining safety culture awareness level of marina employees, safety culture variables and demographics of marina employees' relations are also analyzed in the scope of research. The research results show that, safety culture awareness of marina employees differs according to employees' age. However safety culture awareness of marina employees does not differ according to gender, educational status, work status, work experience, work department and occupational accident experience.
