Longing and curiosity of unexplored places in human history, led them to travel overseas communities. This journey from past to nowadays remain the same purpose, although the structure has changed. Today, the growing and changing needs in parallel to the sea journey of discovery, the leisure side also came into prominence. In time these journeys pushed boat owners to deviate their routes to shelter and safe harbours. This needs of today is the basis of marina bussiness.Respond to the needs of today's boat owners is the main factor of being a leader of marina bussiness. For this reason, many services are offered in addition to the sheltering service of marinas. Adaptation of new technology and information systems in marina bussiness results in increasing the quality of services.In this project, developing of the yachting industry all around the world and in Turkey have considered. In addition, marinas are discussed in the basic and supplementary services. In the application part of the study analyses the effect of information systems used in the Turkish marinas to the marina operations, and user satisfaction, also analysed according the needs.
