Analytical apporoach to fairy tale illustration

The illustrations in child are explanatory and also it decorates the books. It is not only expected from them to carry aesthetic concern, the books that are designed for children also should care about children's improvement, age and interest. This thesis includes the survey that deal with tale books illustrations. Tale books which are chosen after explaining the concept of illustration, focused on general features of illustrations. They examined the technics of them in the second part of the thesis, same tale books illustrations are evaluated from the nicely and contextual aspects. It contains critism that are handled with the affect of some chosen tale books on children and how does it affect the children's dream world and emotional mand. In the third part analytical approach is displayed with aspect of popular culture about illustrations. Thanks to tale books, a child meets different characters and socialize. A child knows his/her environment with tales which have pictures and has knowledge about his/her culture and life. Each society has its own tales. They convey their own geographic culture and events and combine them. Tales have unforgettable, extensive place in child's life. It helps the accurrance of sense, situation improving and apprehension psychology. When we look popular culture's tales we see not only that tales have effects of children but also it is understood by adults. It shows that this society is healty and developed. Tales and illustrations are important in child's visual education and for the period which shapes personality. Surways about this subject shows that tales improve personality for mation, social skills, vital activities and way of communication in school age. On the other hand, unless illustrations and chacters are chosen carelessly, it may damages children. Characters, that are adopted as an idol, cannot be questions if it is right or wrong by children, has negative effects on their psychology. It causes personality travma. So, we should pay attention to the tale books and we should evaluate them with critical thinking. This thesis provides analytical approach for the illustrations of tale book with the frame of popular culture.
