Özet (EN)

In this research, determining multiple representation preferences in the mathematical method, determining the relationship between preferred representation types and gender, professional seniority and graduated school variables, and determining the relationship between reproductive preferred representation types. In the research, survey and correlational research methods, which are among the quantitative research methods, were used. The research sample consists of 205 mathematics teachers working in public educational institutions in Gaziantep. The Multiple Representation Preference Survey, developed by the researcher, was used as a data collection tool in the study. Descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U test and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient were used to analyze the data. Multiple Representation Preference Survey was applied to mathematics teachers and the results were analyzed in SPSS program. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the items in the Multiple Representation Preference Survey were divided into 7 sub-factors (Verbal representation, Model representation, Graphic representation, Real Life representation, Table representation, Algebraic representation and Inter-representational transformation). It was found that mathematics teachers' multiple representation preferences for model representation, verbal representation, real life representation, algebraic representation, tabular representation and conversion factors between representations were at the level of agree, while graphic representation was at the level of undecided. It was found that mathematics teachers' multiple representation preferences did not differ significantly according to gender and professional seniority variables. It was found that there was a significant difference in favor of teachers who graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in the Algebraic representation sub-factor of teachers' multiple representation preferences according to the graduated school variable. It was found that there was a positive relationship between all sub-factors of the Multiple Representation Preference Survey, a high level relationship between tabular representation and inter-representation transformation sub-factors, a weak relationship between graphical representation and real life representation, and a medium level relationship between other types of representations.
