Form of existential rebellion in poems of Mavera poets

Literature periodical Mavera, which was present between 1976 and 1990, contains important names for Turkish literature. In this research, the traces of the "existential rebellion" in the poems of the names determined as "five poets of Mavera" were analyzed. Existential philosophy was chosen as a starting point. As a theist philosopher, Søren Kierkegaard has been particularly elaborated due to the influence the left on Cahit Zarifoğlu. Albert Camus's "philosophy of rebellion" is explained and his concept of "historical rebellion", which we encounter in Mavera poets, is used. The effect of modernity -which came with industrialization- on urban life and the revolt of the poets against this situation, which occurred along with "nausea" are mentioned in this research.
