Abstract (EN)

Economic development is one of the most important purpose for the modern periods. To make the economic development on a level with sustainable, the society has to use all physical and human sources by the most efficient and active way. It?s an indispensable modern period that the society adopts, interiorises and institutionalises a specific principle of rationalization for it?s development. Rationalization, in the most general terms is the process of mastering of rationalism to the actual activities and to the thinking patterns of the people and societies. The qualities such as prioritizing the interets, achiving goals in the shortest and most convinient way, providing the tools to reach the aims at the least cost affects the rationalization process. The communication of the rationalization is not limited to the economic field, in the meantime the rationalization is mentioned in subsystems as administration, science, art and ethichs and religion.With the rationalization fact, Weber has come across when he attempts to explain the economic development of the society. In Weberian sociology the rationalization process and capitalism advance together. In this study, first the rationalization fact of Weber, in short it?s types, it?s content, the historical process it has got through, the other facts and their social and psycologic results will be subject to the explanation by following a logical process. Then, Weber?s economic thoughts and capitalism?s relation with the rationalization will be explained.
