Özet (EN)
In our world, which is rapidly globalizing with the effect of new technologies, mass culture, which is called popular culture, is becoming widespread. Cultures belonging to communities or groups that are under the influence of the mass cult lose their various elements one by one. These lost items are mostly intangible cultural heritage items such as customs and traditions. It is necessary to ensure the transfer of social culture to new generations in order to prevent the disappearance of these elements and to ensure cultural diversity and continuity. The most effective tool that can be used against the effects of mass culture is television, which plays the biggest role in the spread of mass culture. The use of animation series, which especially attract the attention of children and that they do not want to leave, as a means of cultural transfer is extremely effective. In this study, which was carried out as a document review, the motifs used in the weavings in the "Maysa ve Bulut" animation series were determined and the consistency of these motifs with the motifs in the literature was examined. As a result of the examinations, it was determined that a total of 54 different motifs were used in the Maysa ve Bulut animation series. 20 of these motifs are about birth and reproduction, 22 motifs are symbolizing life, 2 motifs are symbolizing death, 7 motifs are depictions of daily life and 3motifs are unidentified. The majority of the determined motifs are compatible with the motifs in the literature.
