Divan of Meczub

In the introduction of the thesis which we have written based on a single copy in Medine Arif Hikmet Library, the historical development of Azeri Turkish and literature which is the language of a culture into which the poet has been born, is shown and it is attempted to reveal the effects of Safavid Dynasty within this culture. After that the status and important of Tabriz within İslamic civilization is mentioned and it is attempted to present the social and cultural transformation of the city during the period when it was under the rule of a Shia state. In the light of these pieces of information, it is expected that the setting which created the poet's religious and literary personality will be understood better. In the first part of the work biograpihcal information gained from the diwan is presented through couplet and the features of the poet's religious identity is stated. After that an attempt is made to treat the elements which constitute his literary personality in detail and considering his poems the poet's elements of language and narration are shown. In the second part the diwan is analized in terms of form, verse forms in the text is reviewed in detail and the difference in the poet's turn of phrase in verse forms is stated. Then, sound and rhythm traits, which are the elements that create consonance, are presented. Lastly, in this part, an attempt is made to show the role of the quotations, which the poet used in his poems, in the text an their effects on his turn of phrase. In the third part of the work, spelling and form features conformed to while constituting the transcription text are written and then, the text of "Meczub Divanı" is presented.
