The mediation efforts and polices of the league of Arab States in the Yemeni civil wars since the cold war

Yemen, with its authentic Arab depth in the Arab region, as an asset for all Arabs, and one of the first founding members of the Arab League Organization, has valuable position in Arab region. The political history of Yemen is characterized by a succession of wars, civil conflicts, and political transformations that have taken place from the Cold War to the present day. Throughout this period, the Arab League has been involved in various ways in attempts to resolve the civil wars in Yemen through the implementation of peace agreements, mediation efforts, and rapprochement between conflicting parties. These attempts have been shaped by the mandates, tasks, and stated goals of the Arab League, as well as by the prevailing political realities in the region and the influence of major international and regional powers. The responses of the conflicting parties in Yemen have also been a critical factor in shaping the outcomes of these efforts. Yemeni situation and its civil wars that have extended since the beginning of the establishment of the League of Arab States to the present time, in light of regional and international changes at various levels, with tracking and evaluating the policies and directions of the League of Arab States in resolving conflicts by mediation, gives distinction to this study and research to value Arab league effort in mediation. Means and policies of the Arab League in these Yemeni wars and conflicts with the extent of their effectiveness and a comparison between them will be addressed in this study, considering the internal and external influencing factors of those intervention.
