The relations between city, grave and temple in the context of The Medina city (h.1-41/m.622-661)

Islam contains certain sacrets in both religious and traditional respects. From the point of our study, we can say that certain places in Islam are more important than other places due to their divine connotations. The three most important cities providing these connotations are Mecca, al-Madina and Jerusalem, while Kaaba, Masjid al-Nabawi and Masjid al-Aqsa are regarded as holy places in these cities repectively. The main feature of these three cities in our study is the existence and sanctity of the tomb and its relationship. Next to the Kaaba, Hz. Hacer and his son Hz. Ismail, Masjid-i Nebevi in the inner page of the Prophet. There are tombs of Jewish prophets with Muhammad and the Holy Mosque. By limiting our work to the city of Medina, we will try to address the role of the tomb, the temple and the grave in creating the city In the study, by referring to previous similar applications carried out by ancient civilizations, we try to reveal that this is not an incident unique to Islamic history. Therefore, while we hold Islamic history as the main point to study on, we have also benefited from various disciplines as far as possible. It is concluded that the Prophet's experience of building a city was actually as a result of the previous human practises, and that Medina developed around al-Masjid an-Nabawi and ar-Rawda al-Mutahhara after it passed the phases of embodied attachment, ritual and myth.
