Abstract (EN)

Prominent figures of Persian literature have been at the center of translation and commentary studies aimed at introducing their works into Turkish. Alongside figures such as Sadî-i Şirâzî, Feridüddin Attâr, Firdevsî, Nizâmî, Hâfız-ı Şirâzî and Molla Câmî Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî, one of the leading poets of the seventeenth century, also stands out for his influence on Turkish literature. Among the studies that introduced Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî's works to Turkish readers, Mehmed Hulûsî's commentaries and translations titled Hikemiyât-ı Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî and Mücevherât-ı Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî occupy an important place. In these works, Hulûsî conveyed Saʾib's literary, philosophical, and mystical views. This study examines the commentaries and translations produced on Hikemiyât-ı Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî. The manuscript numbered 2068 preserved in the Süleymaniye Library was taken as the base text, and a critical edition was established through comparison with other copies housed in the Sermet Çifter Library and the National Library. The study consists of three chapters. The introduction addresses the tradition of commentary and translation; the first chapter examines the lives, literary personalities, and works of Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî and Mehmed Hulûsî. The second chapter evaluates the textual features of the work and the difficulties encountered in its transcription into the Latin alphabet, while the third chapter presents a detailed description of the manuscripts and the critical text. In conclusion, it is emphasized that through Mehmed Hulûsî's works, the introduction of Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî's writings into Turkish literature has served as an important bridge between the two cultures. Key words: Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî, Mehmed Hulûsî, Hikemiyât-ı Sâ'ib-i Tebrîzî, annotation.
