On Mehmet Akif Ersoy's poem "Süleymaniye Kürsüsünde" (review-text-intralingual translation-dictionary)

This study was conducted to comprehensively examine Mehmet Akif Ersoy's poem "Süleymaniye Kürsüsünde" and to provide a better understanding of the poem and the poet. This poem strikingly expresses the political and social problems in the Turkish-Islamic world of the period in which it was written. Mehmet Akif not only expressed the problems but also offered solutions to the problems. These solution suggestions are valuable to shed light not only on the problems of that period but also on the problems that arise today. Understanding Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Safahat better will enlighten the path of today's youth and contribute to the nation's rise to the level of contemporary civilizations. In this study, the poem in Suleymaniye Chair was examined in terms of form and content, the transcribed text of the poem was prepared and a dictionary study was made. In the comparative text, the printed copy dated 1328 Hijri and the Turkish Grand National Assembly publication dated March 2021 were used. In addition to the dictionary study, the meanings of phrases, idioms and Arabic formulaic words in the work were also found. The photographs of the copy of the poem we are working on, dated "Sırat-ı Müstakim Printing House Hijri 1328" and its Turkish Grand National Assembly publication, have been added to the end of the study. The message given by this work is of a nature that will be a balm for the bleeding wounds of the Islamic world of the period in which it was written, as well as the bleeding wound of today's Muslim geography. We think that it is necessary to conduct similar studies covering all of Mehmet Akif Ersoy's works in order to better understand his works and find the place they deserve.
