Abstract (EN)
The way in which characters are presented in children's literature and their character traits are crucial for enabling children to identify with them. The purpose of this research is to examine and classify the character traits of the protagonists in the tales in the book series "Gakgukların Maceraları" and "Gümüş Göl Masalları" by Melike Günyüz, who has produced many works in the field of children's literature in a period when the importance of children's literature is understood and the studies in this field are increasing.. The study analyzes the characters in these works in terms of their positive and negative traits, as well as their open, closed, dynamic, and static structures. In this context, the study seeks to investigate the features of the characters in Melike Günyüz's books from the perspective of character elements. Designed through document analysis, the study examines sixteen books from Günyüz's series "Gakgukların Maceraları" and "Gümüş Göl Masalları." The collected data were first subjected to descriptive analysis and then further explored through content analysis.
