Özet (EN)

Purpose: The aim of this retrospective observational study is to investigate the contribution of the breast sonoelastography in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant lesions, to correlate the results with histopatolojik results and to reduce the number of unnecessary biopsies for solid lesions in the breast. Material and methods: Between February 2022 to Augustos 2022, 85 female patients who were admitted to our hospital with a preliminary diagnosis of breast mass were included in this study. After the patients were evaluated by sonography and sonoelastography examination, biopsi procedure was performed to make histopatological correlation of the radiological results obtained to the solid lesions detected by made. All data during the study were analyzed statistically by the program package İBM SPSSv.20. Findings: The average age of the patients included in our study was found to be 42±13. İt was observed that 58 (% 68.2 ) of the lesions were benign and 27 (% 31.8) were malign as a result of biopsi of the patients included in the study. İn the results of the sonoelastographic examination, 55 (%64.7) lesions were found to be benign and 30 (% 35.7) were found to be malignant. The sensitivities of the SR, Emean and El/B values investigated in our study were found to be 92.1% , 98.7% , 97.8% and the specifities were found to be 75.5% , 97.8% , 79.3%. According to the elasto result, a statistically significant difference was observed between the benign and malignant groups in all the variables investigated. (p=0,000<0.05) Conclusion: Evaluation of solid lesions in the breast with sonoelastography in combination with B-mode ultrasound improves daignostic performance in the distinction between benign and malignant, and it is believed that it will reduce the number of possible unnecessary biopsy procedures.
