Valency in Mamluk Kipchak Turkish

Based on the works written in the Mamluk Kipchak field, this study examines the use of verbs with and without complements and examines the verb complement duality. In the first part of the study, information on all elements is provided, and in the second part, the verb complement relationship, which constitutes the main subject of the thesis, is explained. While preparing the third part, which constitutes the examination part of the thesis, the language heritages written in the period were scanned and all the conjugated verbs in these works were identified. These verbs were transferred to the study by being recorded according to the complements they took in the surface structure or their independent use without taking any complements. The sentence structures in the original texts were transferred without changing and then these sentences were translated into Turkish. The identified examples were used in the study with the transcription forms created depending on the spelling forms in the original texts. The examples were classified and classified according to the complements the verbs took and the case suffix forms they used to establish a connection with these complements. All verbs accessed systematically with the alphabetical index are included in the study. First, the use of each verb without a complement, if any, is given. Then, the use of verbs in the accusative, locative and disjunctive cases or their use in different cases with more than one case suffix is shown by indicating the number of complements. The data obtained as a result of examining the relationship system established by the verb, which is the governing element of the sentence, with its complements and the position it has acquired in the dependent and structural grammar are presented in the conclusion section.
