Özet (EN)

The diagnostic performance of ultrasonographic virtual sonocystoscopy (UVSC) and computed tomography virtual cystoscopy (CTVC) examinations was compared with conventional cystoscopy (CC) in detecting tumoral lesions of bladder. Thirty-seven patients who were referred to urology department with complaint of hematuria or checking for treated bladder cancer were included in our study between November 2012 and September 2014. All patients were evaluated by urology department and CS was planned with a high suspicion of primary or recurrent malignancy. The average age of patients was 62. USG and CT imaging was performed before CC. Three patients was excluded because of getting pre- diagnosis the benign prostatic hypertrophy with imaging findings. CC findings and tissue specimen results were served as reference standard. All examinations were performed with USG and CT without any complication. UVSC obtained images created manually on the device with available source data and then recorded on digital system. CTVC images were reconstructed on another workstation. UVSC and CTVC examinations were evaluated in different sessions by two radiologists independently and number, location and size of lesions were noted. Than two reader, compare their results and reached a common decision for each patient. Findings of USSC and CTVC examinations were compared with conventional cystoscopy. Conventional cystoscopy revealed 69 bladder lesion in 34 patients. UVSC revealed 62 and CTVC revealed 64 lesions in 34 patients. UVSC (%88,6) and CTCV (%90,4) correctly detected of bladder tumors using with CC as a gold standart. Consequently; in this study shows that both of these techniques have a high diagnostic accuracy for the detection of bladder lesions. Keywords: Virtual cystoscopy, hematuria, bladder tumor.
