Abstract (EN)

With this study it is aimed that the evaluation of the proficiencies that were qualified by the Department of Textile of Vocational College- Programme and its consistency with the expectations of Sectoral Enterprises by the point of view of Sectoral Employee and University Lecturers as well as senior class students of Textile Programme.This is an descriptive study to quest the consistency of proficiencies that were qualified by the Department of Textile of Vocational College and Quality Control Programme with the expectations of Sectoral Enterprises in the matter of Sectoral Employee and students of Kayseri University Vocational college Textile Department.In this study a survey was conducted to Sectoral Employee of Textile Enterprises (Production Managers, HR managers, Educationalists, Machine Chief, etc?) by the 1st and 2nd grade students of academic year 2007-2008 at Erciyes University the Department of Textile of Vocational College Quality Control Programme.Original data that achieved according to answers which are given to the questions of the survey, are evaluated. Like wise frequency and percentages are taken and are presented in Tables.The study has two scopes of work, as the first one is Textile Enterprise of inside Kayseri Province and second one is 1st and 2nd classes of Daytime and Evening Program students of Erciyes University Mustafa Cıkrıkcıoğlu Textile Department.40 Enterprises from the scope the 1st and 180 students from the scope the 2nd were taken into the sample. Survey sheet developed by the researcher was applied to the sampling groups. According to the results which obtained by the answers given to the questions on the survey; it was concluded that University-Industry collaboration is ineffective and also training of technical college and job training and machine information given to the students in sufficient, Nonetheless, the Textile Programme targets are quite poor to respond to the expectations of Sectoral Employee. It was also seen that practical training, foreign language education and the opportunities of studying abroad must be sufficiently provided. Consequently it is very necessary that consistency between the education provided in technical and machine knowledge must be expanded in terms of real working conditions of Textile Industry.
