Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.Each year a lot of men are killed for this reason. Prostate cancer can be divided into the three groups. These are local, local advanced and metastatic prostat cancer. Treatment may vary depending on many factors like age of patient, stage of disease, metastasis. These include watchful-waiting, active surveillance, radical prostatectomy, radiotherapy, hormonal therapy, brachytherapy, cryotherapy, HiFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) are available. In this study, we aiemed to compare the efficiency of GnRH agonists (leuprolide acetate 22.5 mg and goseraline acetate 10.8 mg) on the castration levels of metastatic prostate cancer for two years. 25 patient was treated with goseraline acetate 10.8 mg and mean age was 65.5. Other 25 patient was treated with leuprolide acetate 22.5 mg and mean age was 64.4. In the group treated with leuprolide acetate 22.5 mg mean Gleason score was 7.8. In the group treated with goseraline acetate 10.8 mg mean Gleason score was 7.84. 2 patients (%8) who treated with leuprolide acetate 22.5 mg, received the testosterone levels were found above the level of castration. 3 patients (%12) who treated with goseraline acetate 10.8 mg received the testosterone levels were found above the level of castration. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups. However, study results have been observed in the Gleason score is high (> 9) at diagnosis, multiple metastasis, during follow-up PSA values> 5 used in patients with GnRH agonists independently has reached castrate levels earlier. Though our study showed similar results between the two drugs; longer and larger series are needed.
