Abstract (EN)
The word Metaverse, which has not yet been added to the literatüre in Turkish by the Turkish Language Association, expresses a fictional universe as a concept that can be used in the sense of beyond the universe with the combination of the words "meta" (beyond) and "universe" (universe). Access to 3D virtual worlds is provided through smart glasses, VR or AR headsets, where people can be transformed into a customizable digital avatar and interact with other avatars, go to different virtual environments, play games, watch concerts, socialize virtually or collaborate. The concept of metaverse has been popularized by the world of science fiction and has been used to describe a wide variety of virtual environments, from virtual reality game worlds to social media platforms. It has also been a topic of interest in the tech industry, with companies trying to create and develop virtual environments that could potentially become part of a larger beyond. It is still in the early stages of development. In this context, the task of graphic designers is to design the interfaces of metaverse applications in a way that provides a good user experience. The graphics of Metaverse applications have improved significantly in recent years, thanks to advances in graphics processing technology. It is still difficult to create completely realistic graphics that are indistinguishable from the physical world, as it requires a large amount of computational power and detailed modeling of real-world objects and environments. However, the realism of graphics in a metaverse application is not necessarily the most important factor for many users. The main job of graphic designers is to sometimes stylize the image they want to convey, and sometimes to make it realistic. Most people will be more interested in the overall immersive experience and the ability to interact with the virtual world in meaningful ways, regardless of the realism of the graphics.
