Abstract (EN)
In this study, the monomer 2-(4-methoxyphenylamino)2-oxoethylmethacrylate (MPAEMA) was synthesized from sodium methacrylate and 2-chloro-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)acetamite. The structure of monomer FT-IR, 1H-NMR and13C-NMR was characterized by using spectroscopic techniques. The homopolymer and copolymers of MPAEMA with its different percentages with methylmethacrylate (MMA) were prepared by using benzoyl peroxido initiator at 70 0C in 1,4-dioxane solution under nitrogen athmosphere. Copolymers of MPAEMAmonomer with MMA at various ratios were synthesized with 15% conversion with the same method. MPAEMA monomer and poly (MPAEMA) homopolymer, FT-IR, gel permation chromatography were characterized through thermal analysis methods. Characterization of poly(MPAEMA-co-MMA) copolymer series synthesized by low conversion weredone by FT-IR and TGA thermal analysis. Copolymer compositions were determined by elemental analysis. The percentages of monomer reactivity were calculated and discussed by Finemann Ross (FR), Kelen Tüdos (KT) methods.
